To Walden

A Prayer

I walk hip deep in water.
Hands lingering,
tingling in the refreshing silhouette.
Water cooling my fingers.
Breathe.
A moment to stop.
Running to arrive to
Let Go
of the day.

I speak
a silent prayer
into the air above her.
Carried in the breeze.
Gratitude for bringing me here.
For holding my worries and concerns
In the arms of Walden.
